"Is this really all there is?"

If you've been asking that question, you're in the right place.

You're not lost. You're just not where you're supposed to be yet.

Also, you're not lazy. You're not ungrateful. By most measures, you've probably built a reasonable life — maybe even a good one. But somewhere along the way, something meaningful and purposeful got lost. Or maybe it was never found to begin with.

You think more deeply than most people around you — and that's part of the problem. The people closest to you mean well, but they want you to move on, cheer up, and get busy. What they don't understand is that you've tried all of that. And it hasn't worked.

You're not sure if what you're feeling is a midlife crisis, a spiritual crisis, or just the quiet suspicion that there has to be more to this than what you're currently living. Maybe all three.

What you do know is this: you're tired of pretending everything is fine. And you're tired of feeling like the only one who isn't.

There is a reason you feel what you feel.

And there is a way through — not around it, but through it.

That's what we do here. Together.

Dr. Trace Pirtle

I'm Trace — Dr. Trace Pirtle if credentials matter to you, and I understand if they do.

Over the past 40 years, I've served as a counselor, counselor education professor, and, in recent years, a coach — sitting with people in the hardest places of their lives. Before that, I served as an Air Force officer, a missile launch officer responsible for ICBMs. I know something about stress and anxiety that many never will, but we each have our own experiences. I respect yours.

Along the way, I earned the Diplomate in Logotherapy — the highest post-doctoral credential in the field founded by Dr. Viktor Frankl, the man who discovered that meaning can be found even in the darkest of human suffering. I've taught it, researched it, published on it, and most importantly — lived it.

And along the way, I was a "seeker." I wasn't sure where God was, whether Jesus was real, or whether anything I was building actually meant something. My searching wasn't a detour. It was what God was uniquely qualifying me to do.

Today, my faith in Jesus Christ is not the footnote to my work — it's the foundation of it. I'm not interested in easy answers or canned programs. I'm interested in walking alongside the man who knows something is missing and is finally ready to find out what.

If that's you, maybe we should talk.

How It Works

I don't have a complicated process. No lengthy intake forms, no clinical assessments, no pressure. Just an honest conversation between two people — and a simple path forward.

A Simple Conversation

Our first phone conversation is complimentary. It's simply about two people deciding together if this is the right fit. No commitments. No sales pitch. If we agree it is, we'll move forward to "Finding Your Direction." If it isn't, we'll both know. Fair enough?

Finding Your Direction

Once we've clarified your authentic destiny, we step forward--together--in faith, that your God-given meaning and purpose in life is closer than you've realized. Change is never easy, but you'll discover it is worth the effort! Ready?

Think of this as a conversation with a purpose. Our purpose is to find out where you are, how you got here, and where to find your authentic destiny. This isn't therapy. It's a shared journey down a road that helps you find the answers to the questions you've carried for too long.

A Personal Note...

I don't know about you...

but I believe in both "Divine Appointments" and "Divine Intervention." Those happenings in life that defy the odds, where the probability of that one thing happening was nearly zero. You knew it was God's doing but trying to explain it to family and friends was futile.

Sometimes it's easier to ignore God's appointments and interventions because they make you sound "crazy." I know. I've experienced it too, even as a professional.

But what I also discovered is that once I let go of the reins of perceived self-control, and just said, "God, You are in control" — the sooner my authentic destiny appeared. It was like a mirage in the desert that I could see in the distance but couldn't quite believe what I was seeing.

The difference is this — what God creates is real. What culture creates are enticing illusions. And once we pursue them, so many of us begin to feel all the life draining from us — no meaning, no purpose, no sense of life as an adventure rather than an existence.

And that, my brother, is what I am uniquely qualified to help you discover — your life as an adventure instead of an existence. The meaning, passion, purpose and potential that God has blessed you with is within reach regardless of your age in life.

Ready to see if this is one of God's Divine Appointments? Give me a call when you are ready. I'm here for ya!

Is This Really All There Is?

If you've made it this far, I don't believe it's by chance. We both have felt that question gnawing at our soul.

Some will see it as God's invitation to get back into the game they are called to play. Others will be content to ride the pine as a bench warmer and complain about how unfair the game of life is. I'm not the umpire of either call.

My question is — are you ready to see your life as that "Still Water," ready for you to relax in, or to jump in and make some waves?

It's your life, not mine. But I would love the opportunity to help you discover your authentic purpose.

So, there's my invitation for you to reach out on that complimentary call. Regardless of your decision, I wish you the best and God's blessings.
